Damjan was born in 1975 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Since the childhood his life has been connected with nature, which he loves very much. When a teenager, he became more interested in geology and later on, he got impressed by fossils. His love of nature had finally been enriched with a true passion of a collector, that lasts for 20 years now.

He owns a private museum, where he's keeping approximately 10.000 specimens from all over the world. Damjan is a specialist in area of sea urchins (Echinoidea), they are his beloved fossils. During his geology work, Damjan helps preparing quite a large number of significantly important exhibitions every year, he kindly shares a vast knowledge with other younger and older collectors. Damjan is also a co-founder of Geology Research Association of Slovenia, where he's holding a presidency at the moment. The path of science led him abroad and Damjan managed to establish many friendships throughout the world, and business links in area of paleontology.

Damjan is an engineer and a specialist of paleozoology. In his spare time he goes to the Mediterranean with his family, or fishing with his friends.
